Rincón de la Victoria celebrates the XVII Comedy Festival focusing in Malaga talent
The program will be held from the 23rd to 26th of July at the CEIP Manuel Laza Palacio from 22:00 hours, under capacity control and health safety measures against COVID-19
The cast presents three comedians of national repercussion and a night of stand–up comedy by the actors from Malaga: Juanma Lara, Álvaro Carrero and Tomás García. In addition, there will be artists from Rincón and Malaga: for the second consecutive year the actress Maria Luisa Merlo, a woman with a long professional career in the world of theater, film and televisión will participate in the show.
The Festival will begin on Thursday the 23rd of July with the theatre company Pereza Escénica, directed by Bosco Vida, with the play ‘Enloquecidas’. The first stand–up comedy will arrive on Friday 24th by Malaga people with a strong connection to the municipality. On Saturday the 25th the play ‘Don’t touch my story’ by the Teatroz troupe. María Luisa Merlo will close the festival with the play ‘Mentiras inteligentes’ (‘Inteligent lies’) by the company Descalzo Producciones.
All the theatre performances will take place at the CEIP Manuel Laza Palacio from 10pm protected with all the safety and hygiene measures. The accesses will be opened 15 minutes before the performance.
Tickets are available from Monday the 20th of July at the Culture Department of the Town Hall (former Railway Station: Avenida del Mediterráneo, 140, next to the Tourist Office) in Rincón de la Victoria and at the box office of the Manuel Laza Palacio School as well, in this case, one hour before the performance for the price of 5 euros, with the open possibility of buying the tickets for the rest of the plays.
