Great headliners for the new edition of “Benagalbón Folk”, which will be celebrated one more year in the Centre of Studies of the Folklore of Malaga, in Benagalbón. The concerts will begin on the 14th of March with the Palencia-based group El Naán, continuing on the 18th of April with the Murcia-based group Malvariche and will end on the 9th of May with La Musgaña & Vanesa Muela.
On the 14th of March, the Palencia-based group El Naán will open the line-up, presenting ‘La Danza de las Semillas’, an album that features ancestral rhythms and instruments with contemporary textures, ethnic music, jazz and folk. This album was chosen in 2018 as Best European Album by the Transglobal World Music Chart and reached number 4 on this world list.
Malvariche will be onstage on the 18th of April to present his album ‘Abónico’, a journey through the traditional melodies of the southeast lands and through self-created songs that have their roots in his home village.
La Musgaña & Vanesa Muela will close the festival on the 9th of May with the show ‘Tres x Cuatro’, created to bring the traditional folk of Castile and León closer to the general public. The union of Vanesa Muela’s voice and La Musgaña’s mastery completes a multi-carat line-up.
All performances will take place at 8pm, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
