2nd Chess Blitz

Rincón de la Victoria will host the 2nd edition of the Chess Blitz Marathon, an event taking place on April 25th which will feature more than a hundred players from all around the country. This tournament features prize awards worth 2000 euros, with a 500 euros award for the winner of the event.

This sports event is organised by the Sports Council of Rincón de la Victoria's Town Hall, along with Club Ajedrez Victoria (Victoria Chess Club), and will take place in the Municipal Indoor Sports Hall, in Torre de Benagalbón.

This tournament will follow the Dutch Swiss System, on an unique 17 round, with a time control of 4 minutes + 3 more seconds for each play. It will award points for the FIDE Blitz ELO and the Andalusian Chess Federation ELO (FADA). Pairings will be determined through the VegaChess program.

Round will being at 10:00 with players' reception. After pairings are published, first round will start, with games following one after another. There will be cash prizes, trophies and other awards depending on age, ELO and women category.

Registrations are available through the e-mail clubajedrezvictoria@gmail.com. This process will close on April 23rd at 23:59 horas or until full capacity is reach.

Players with a valid registration licence will be allowed to participate as long as the appear in the GEFE platform. Registered players from outside Andalusia will have to activate their credentials in their corresponding platform (Podrán participar jugadores con licencia federativa en vigor que figuren en la plataforma GEFE. Los jugadores federados fuera de Andalucía deberán habilitarse en la sección correspondiente (authorized, registration and query and newly authorized players).
