Flamenco lovers got lucky; from October 18th to December 6th, Peña Flamenca El Piyayo along with the City Council, brings the XXII edition of Recitales de Otoño.
Every Friday from 10:00 PM, you can enjoy performances from young local artists showing their skills at the headquarters of the Peña Flamenca El Piyayo.
A total of eight shows with two important updates, Women’s Day on December 6th and Verdiales Day on November 1st. The main objective of these shows is enhancing and displaying the female presence. But also, showing other styles and forms of flamenco.
Miguel Astorga along with José Luis Lastre on guitar will open the event on Friday, October 18th.
Samuel Serrano and Luis el Salao will do it on October 25th. Los Arrejuntaos will bring the very best of verdiales on November 1st.
Joselito Montoya, winner of the Young Flamenco Contest, will be on November 8th accompanied by Luis El Salao on guitar. Also, Luisa Chicano will dance and Manuel de la Curra will be singing.
On November 15th, Ezequiel Benítez and José Pura will give their best on stage.
On the night of November 22nd, the event brings José Parra to singing and Juan Fernández on guitar. On Friday, November 29th, José Montoya Carpi ‘El Berengeno’ will perform along with the dancer Carmen Moncada, and José Manuel Moneo on guitar.
As a final touch, on December 6th, Women’s Day will be celebrated with flamenco. Ana Luigi and Masayo Susa will be singing with Carmen López dancing and Paco Leal playing the guitar.
In addition, on Members Day (October 18th), the partner and president of Peña Flamenca El Piyayo, Aurora Narváez Rodríguez will be awarded with the Golden Badge for her contribution to spread flamenco among the little ones, in order to preserve the survival of this art in the new generations.
The poster, a work of young 15 years old boy called Juan Antonio García from Rincón de la Victoria, is inspired by the Cave of the Treasure. Also, you can find the artists Pepe Reina and Mª Carmen Lastre in it.
Rincón de la Victoria will continue to be a municipality full of life this fall.
