Rincón de la Victoria will star in one of the stages of the Tour of Spain which will return to Malaga and will also stop in the municipality of Antequera.
The event will have a huge impact on the municipality, and Turismo Costa del Sol is once again committed with the development of this event in the province, that reaches up to 1.5 million spectators worldwide. Thanks to the images of ‘La Vuelta’ they will be able to enjoy the cultural, natural and scenic richness of both the Axarquia region and Antequera. This will be great opportunity for all Spaniards or foreigners following it from home on television to dream of visiting our land. The municipality will host stage 10 (190.2 km) from Roquetas de Mar (Almería) on the 24th of August. Undoubtedly, it is an important tourist projection at national and international level.
Rincón de la Victoria will be an unprecedented finish in ‘La Vuelta’ on the 24th of August, thanks to stage 10 (190.2 km) which will start from Roquetas de Mar (Almería). Medium-mountain and completely flat except for the final part, the Almáchar pass (2nd cat) will be crowned at 15 kilometres from the finish and will force riders to ride very fast on the descent and on the finish to Rincón de la Victoria. Major of Rincon de la Victoria and President of Diputación de Málaga, Francisco Salado recalled when in 2017 the peloton rode through Torre de Benagalbón, Rincón de la Victoria and Cala del Moral.
The 76th edition of ‘La Vuelta’ will start on the 14th of August in the capital of Burgos outside the Cathedral and will finish on the 5th of September, comprising a total of 21 stages.
