Rincón de la Victoria will hold its Carnival Group Contest in 2019 once again where we will find the best voices from Málaga and Cádiz. Chirigota del Selu “Los Quemasangres” will be in charge of the culmination of this festive day. Also, the two COAC Málaga winners will participate – the first prize in Comparsas “El Arrecife” and the first prize in Murgas “La Revenge is served cold”. All of this will take place on Sunday, March 17th in the Plaza Al-Andalus from 12.00 PM.
“Los Quemasangres” have been finalists and one of the most acclaimed groups both by public and critics in the Carnival Group Contest in Cádiz this year. On the other hand, the groups from Málaga are two of the classic ones in the finals of the Teatro Cervantes.
La comparsa de Ronda won the first prize in one of the most disputed finals in recent years, while the murga “La venganza se sirve fría” won the category of murgas once again in Málaga, Rincón de la Victoria particularly. In fact, they made thousands of smiles shine with their “Viktoria Secret” in the 2018 edition.
Besides, our local representative at the Málaga Carnival will be present, the Murga of La Cala del Moral “Letizia, al filo de la noticia”.
The Carnival Group Contest of Rincón de la Victoria will start at 3:00 PM right after the traditional carnival cabbage that will be distributed for free to all the attendees from 2:00 PM.
But the carnival celebrations will begin a bit earlier at the central square in Rincón with a children’s party from 12.00 PM. The youngest ones can enjoy games, bouncy castles, animation, painting, workshops… They can enjoy all of this until the celebration of the costume contest with both child and adult categories.
