Rincon de la Victoria will have a new Tourist and Cultural Route during the month of October with a tourist train that will travel through part of the municipality.
A pilot experience that will help to break the seasonality of the municipality by making the town of Rincon de la Victoria and its resources known. Undoubtedly a great action to boost the sector and reinforce tourism in the province of Malaga at different times of the year.
An activity for the whole family to enjoy and that during the month of October will be free of charge and with the aim of lasting over time.
The project has been subsidised with 56,437 euros by the Junta de Andalucía with the aim of promoting and positioning the Axarquia brand as well as highlighting the cultural and natural heritage of Rincon de la Victoria.
The route is framed within the actions that the Association for the Tourist Promotion of the Axarquia (A.P.T.A) has been developing to contribute to the creation and improvement of tourist itineraries, as well as the line of aid aimed at non-profit associations in Andalusia, granted by the Ministry of Tourism, Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration. And therefore it will not have any cost for the consistory.
The train will depart from Tuesday to Friday and will start its activity next Wednesday the 6th of October. And until Thursday the 28th of the same month it will have a single departure at 11.00 a.m. from the Casa Fuerte de Bezmiliana, with a two hours tour though the town, including a visit to the Cueva del Tesoro and the Cliffs of El Cantal.
The route also includes free entry to the Cueva del Tesoro (Treasure cave). There will be 25 people per day who will be able to enjoy this experience.
