Rincón de la Victoria hosts the VII Puppet Festival from August 15th to 18th with the special celebration of the 60th anniversary of Peneque El Valiente. This festival will bring together four theater companies of national and international projection in a special edition where the 60th anniversary of the character of Peneque El Valiente is celebrated.

The VII Puppet Festival will begin on Thursday, August 15th with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Peneque El Valiente in the play Peneque, el sueño de los títeres, at Plaza Al Ándalus of Rincón de la Victoria. The Málaga Company ‘Producciones Infantiles Miguel Pino’ will be in charged of this play. On Friday, August 16th, ‘Compañía Cebe Teatro’ from Castellón will perform with the play Monstruos at Plaza Gloria Fuertes of La Cala del Moral.

During the weekend, the Puppet Festival will move to Plaza de Las Flores in Benagalbón, on Saturday, August 17th. The play El soldadito de Plomo will be performed by ‘Compañía La Jaca’ from Jaén. On Sunday 18th, the play Los Tres Cerditos will be performed by ‘Compañía David Zuazola’ from Chile at the Old Railway Station closing the festival.

All companies will use different techniques such as glove puppets, muppets, thread puppets, shadows and visual objects. All shows will begin at 10:00 PM with free entrance and capacity. The approximate duration of each play is one hour.
