Rincon de la Victoria celebrates the XVIII edition of the Comedy Festival from the 22nd to 25th of July at the CEIP Manuel Laza Palacio in the town, with three comedies of national repercussion and a night of stand-up by the Malaga actor Salva Reina, Miguel Martín and Pedro Angel.

Programme:

The Festival will begin on Thursday the 22nd of July with Teatro Sí Jerez staging a new comedy set in the medieval times of the Catholic Monarchs .`Tanto Monta, Monta Tanto, Monta Tanto’ is the history of Spain as it was never told by Manolo Medina, Javier Vallespin and Rafael Estades (El Morta).
On Friday it’s the turn of the play ‘Gilipollas sin fronteras’ (Assholes without borders), after its successful season at the Marquina Theatre in Madrid. A classic of humour performed by two aces of the genre, Santiago Nogués and Adolfo Pastor, regulars on the theatrical and television bill under the production of ‘Morfeo Teatro’. The show is all about showing the naked truth of the asshole and assuming that ‘feeling like an asshole’ is not such a bad thing.
This year’s edition will continue on Saturday with stand-up by the actors of ‘Deudas’, with the Malaga-born Salva Reina, Miguel Martín and Pedro Ángel.
The festival will be brought to a close by the comedy of ACarrero from Rincon de la Frontera, ‘Un secreto a voces’. A comedy with four main characters: Pablo Puyol, Virginia Muñoz, Miguel A. Martín and Noemí Ruiz. Is a play about secrecy, keeping a secret, hence the question: keeping a secret is not just anything. It requires some quality or other, self-control, fidelity, coldness, temperance… it seems easy. Carrero puts his play on the street for the first time, after its current success in the theatre La Cochera Cabaret in the capital of Malaga.
All the theatrical performances will take place in the CEIP Manuel Laza Palacio from 22:00 hours. The entrances will open 15 minutes before the performance.
Tickets can be purchased from the 15th of July at the Culture Department of the Town Hall (old Railway Station: Avenida del Mediterráneo, 140, next to the Tourist Office) in Rincon de la Victoria, during opening hours (8:30 to 13:30) and at the box office of the Manuel Laza Palacio School one hour before the performance for a price of 5 euros, with the possibility of purchasing tickets for the rest of the plays.
