The VIII Puppet Festival will begin on Thursday the 30th of July with the host, ‘Peneque El Valiente’ (‘Peneque The Brave’) and the play ‘Peneque, y el Fantasma’ (‘Peneque and the Ghost’) by the Malaga Company ‘Producciones Infantiles Miguel Pino’, which has a long professional career and is recognised with the M of Malaga from the Provincial Council.

On Friday the 31st of July it is the turn of the theatre with the Petit Teatro Company and the play ‘Con Mucho Clown’ which will offer a show of clowns, Nasu and Basi, who through games, music, magic, and songs will please eveyone.

On Saturday the 1st of August, the puppet theatre will come back with  ‘Travellers on the Carousel’ inspired by the characters from the musical  ‘The Carnival of the Animals’ by Camille Saint Saëns. In this play, a funny clown enters the fantastic world of the carousels and together with him, more than a dozen colorful automaton characters will tell us little stories full of humor and emotion. This is a show where families can delight themselves with live music, sensory stimulus that will make you dream and travel through a surprising world of fantasy.

The closing of the Festival, on the Sunday 2nd of August, will be performed by the musical theatre ‘De Simba a Kiara (‘From Simba to Kiara’)’, a tribute to the Lion King by the On Beat Producciones Company, which has triumphed on the Gran Vía with its musicals, and is now one of the best family shows companies in Spain.

All the theatrical performances will take place in the CEIP Manuel Laza Palacio from 22:00. The entrances will open 15 minutes before the performances. Every play lasts approximately one hour and a half.

The entrance is free, with limited capacity and only previous reservation through the email cultura@rincondelavictoria.es.

Children under 6 years of age are not required to wear a mask but must prove their age by presenting their ID card or the family book.
