The Sports Department of the Rincón de la Victoria City Council, together with the Athletics and Triathlon clubs of Rincón de la Victoria, have announced the suspension of the following sporting events planned for this summer; La Jábega Night Trail which was scheduled for August, and the Sprint Triathlon in September.
Finally, and after a consensus decision, the cancellation was chosen mainly because it could not guarantee the necessary social distancing due to the high participation that both events register every year.
Rincón de la Victoria is a municipality with a wide calendar of sport events, being the Night Trail ‘La Jábega’ and the Sprint Triathlon two of the most outstanding ones. In 2019, almost 600 people participated in the August night race which would have been its fifth edition this year.
On the other hand, the Sprint Triathlon would have reached its seventh edition this year and had almost 500 athletes participating in the 2019 edition.
