On September 26th, World Tourism Day will kick off in Benagalbón featuring the Special award for Eco&Dive, local company which has been developing pioneer work and valueing local marine heritage since 2009.

This distinction will achknowledge internationally relevant accomplishments such as the HOPE SPOT Alborán Sea recognition awarded by the Mission Blue Foundation by Dr. Sylvia Earle, its involvement in the United Nations Congess due to the Oceans in Nice 2025 or Queen Sofía's visit to beach-cleaning activities in 2020.

Pedro David Avilés Jiménez and Gemma Infante, Eco&Dive founders, have positioned Rincón de la Victoria as an example for underwater responsible tourism in the Mediterranean, developing conservation projects in Posidonia, Seahorsemed and sea biodiversity.

After the awards ceremony, at 21:00, there will be a gospel concert in Benagalbón's Plaza de la Iglesia (Church Square), with free access.
