On Tuesday, May 20th, Rincón de la Victoria will host a conference in which the former Spanish international basketball player, Carlos Cabezas will provide a speech. This event was organised by Diputación de Málaga (Málaga County Council) in order to encourage the practice of sports among the youngsters.
This conference will take place on Tuesday, May 20th at Pabellón Rubén Ruzafa, in Rincón de la Victoria.
This activity is part of the 'Málaga Compite' programme, which helps young players belonging to local basketball clubs, sports clubs and school teams.
This event will feature a practice session on court, followed by a motivational speech in which Cabezas will share his personal experience, from his early carrer all the way until reaching the peak, highlighting the importance of training, discipline and sport values.
Carlos Cabezas was part of the historical golden generation of Spanish Basketball. He was part of the team that won the Lisboa Junior Championships in 1999, the Japan World Cup in 2006 and Eurobasket 2009 in Poland. He came through the ranks of Unicaja Málaga, making his debut with the first team in the 2000-2001 season, becoming a Spanish basketball role model.
