On early February, Rincón de la Victoria begins its particular calendar of traditional festivals. The Benagalbón Fair, also known as the Candelaria Fair, as it is celebrated in honor of its patron saint, is one of the most hotly awaited events over the winter months in this Axarquía municipality.
This 2019, the festivity will take place from February 1st to 3rd. Men and women of Benagalbón will carry their virgin and San José from the historic benalbina church once again. Around this event, the fair builds up turning in one of the oldest traditions of Rincón de la Victoria.
Along with music and activities that suit all tastes and ages, the Benagalbón Fair is able to combine the most deeply-rooted traditions with activities for the youngest ones and today’s music that attracts a young audience.
This year, the 2019 Fair kicks off with the opening speech next Wednesday, January 30th at 07:30PM in the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria church.
The Fair takes place in the main enclaves of this white village of the Axarquía. The program of this 2019 Fair of Benagalbón is the following one:
