For the third year in a row, the first Saturday of August will be special for the municipality of Rincón de la Victoria. La Jábega Night Trail presents once again an incomparable setting for runners and audiences in a unique race in La Axarquia region. Almost 600 participants will have to overcome the 16 kilometers of the race that combine sections over the coast and mountains.

Sport lovers, and those who want to enjoy unique images, have an appointment this coming Saturday August 4th with a race that is gaining in show and followers with each edition.

La Jábega Night Trail has a distance of 16 kilometers with a slope of 500 meters positive. With a medium level of difficulty, this race brings you the possibility of making the journey by running or as a hiker. The test has a maximum duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes.

This year, the Athletics Club of Rincón de la Victoria have prepared many surprises wanting to enhance the tourist character that the race has as well. In addition to the various gifts they will receive for participating, runners can enjoy a typical dish of Málaga coast, espeto de sardinas (sardines), at the end of the race.

The sporting event has as starting point the Tourism Office of Rincón de la Victoria at 9.30PM. Then, runners will take the direction of Arroyo Granadillas to start the ascent to Cerro Salazar-Capitana and return through Carril del Turco to reach the coast from La Cala del Moral and start the circuit by the sand of the beach of Rincón de la Victoria, crossing its swash until they reach the finish line.

The race is gaining in number of participants. Every year, the number of people coming over the province of Málaga to compete is observed to increase. This year, there will be runners who will arrive at Rincón de la Victoria from Asturias, Madrid or the Basque Country.
